“ | This is an alternative dimension. | ” |
— [NPC] Tel Kar |
The Rift Dimension is a Location that can be accessed through the Wizard Tower. It is essentially an alternate universe based on the Hub.
You can access the Rift Dimension by speaking to the Wizard in the Wizard Tower and purchasing the Dimensional Infusion effect for either 200 Bits or 32 Grand Experience Bottles. After that, entering the Wizard Portal in the tower will send you to an alternative Wizard Tower in the dimension. Leaving the dimension will clear the infusion effect, though you can also get kicked out if you run out of
Rift Time or stand next to a Temporal Pillar.
Purpose
When you first enter the Rift Dimension, you will not have any items, almost as if you're starting a Profile just for the dimension. Your progression in the rift is almost entirely separate from any progression outside of it, and anything you earn in the rift will stay there. Some items, however, are Rift-Transferable, meaning they can be brought back and forth between the rift, but there are not many items like this. More information about this can be found by speaking to Inverted Sirius.
Rift Time and Other Stats
Rift Time is the primary unique Stat in the Rift Dimension. It represents how much time you have to stay in the rift from the moment you join before you get sent back to the Wizard Tower in the Hub. It is essentially a replacement to
Health, in that Mobs will subtract how much
Rift Time you currently have instead of dealing damage.
By default, players have 8:00 worth of Rift Time before they are kicked out, but this can be increased by collecting Enigma Souls, Armor, Equipment and Accessories.
Most Stats do not exist in the Rift Dimension. Instead, players have access to these Stats, some of which are unique:
Stat | Description |

Timecharms and Progression
Progression in the rift is mainly handled through Rift Timecharms. There are 8 different Timecharms you can obtain, mostly in a specific order, though there is some leniency. Each one grants access to a new Zone at the cost of Rift Time, with them generally getting harder and more expensive to enter each time.
Motes and Orbs
Motes are the equivalent of Coins in the Rift Dimension. They can primarily be gained by picking up Orbs that show up randomly, which look like purple witch particles. Orbs in Enigma's Crib give +10 Motes, whereas orbs elsewhere give +25 Motes and recover 2 Rift Time. Motes can be used to purchase various items from NPCs.
Enigma Souls
Similarly to above, Enigma Souls are the equivalent of Fairy Souls in the Rift Dimension. You can collect up to 42 of them to upgrade the Enigma Cloak to gain Rift Time,
Mana Regen, and
Speed. Many souls require you to complete certain tasks to unlock them, such as swimming in the Dolphin Trainer, fully growing the Great Beanstalk, jumping high next to Ribbit and Kiermet, or having multiple players on two pressure places in the Wyld Woods.
Rift Transferable Items
Items with the Rift-Transferable tag can be transferred in and out of the Rift Dimension. Some items function differently between both dimensions. This can be done through the Rift Transfer Chest, which can be unlocked by speaking to Inverted Sirius. Some items have the Rift-Exportable tag instead, this means they can only be taken out of the Rift dimension but can never be brought back in, such as Fang-tastic Chocolate Chip.
