Motes replace Coins as the primary Currency of the Rift Dimension.

Obtaining

Motes can be obtained through a variety of sources.

Source	Information
Orbs	Throughout the Rift Dimension, players can find Orbs that look like purple witch particles. These orbs can be picked up to obtain 25 Motes, or 10 if you are in Enigma's Crib. The amount gained can be increased by +40 with the McGrubber's Burger.
Motes Grubber	The Motes Grubber is an NPC located in the Wyld Woods, West Village, and Stillgore Château. Players can sell various items to them for Motes, and the amount gained can be increased by +5% with the McGrubber's Burger.
Argofay Bughunter	Players can give Bottled Odonatas to the Argofay Bughunter for Motes.
Lil' Pads	Players can sell Lil' Pads for 10 Motes each at Kay in the Lagoon Hut.
Mirrorverse Reward	Dr. Emmett gives a one-time reward of 60,000 Motes after completing all the Mirrorverse puzzles.
Hemobomb	Players can use a Hemobomb to give 500 Motes to everyone in their instance, including themselves. This item gets consumed on use and has a 2 hour cooldown.
Killing Mobs	Most Mobs in the Rift Dimension drop some amount of Motes on death.

The Harmonious Surgery Toolkit costs 2,000 Motes and a Bottled Odonata from the Argofay Bugshopper. The Defective Monitor costs 1,000 Motes from Unhinged Kloon. The Empty Odonata Bottle costs 500 Motes and 2 Shy Cruxes from the Argofay Bugshopper. The Used Detransfigured Face costs 1,500 Motes and an Agaricus Cap Cap from Transfigured Seraphine. The Tactician's Murder Weapon costs 500 Motes and a Leech Sword from Master Tactician Fink. The Wyld Sword costs 333 Motes and 3 Shy Cruxes from the Argofay Threebrothers. Enigma Souls	Multiple Enigma Souls can be purchased for Motes. Roy sells one for 4,000 Motes and 8 Deadgehog Spines. Cryptosis sells one for 15,000 Motes and 10 Scribe Cruxes. A Fairylosopher sells one for 10,000 Motes and 32 Splatter Cruxes.
Barry and Creed	Creed requests 300 Motes during Barry's quest.
Barrier Street Auctions	Various items can be bid on using Motes in Shen's Auction at Barrier Street. Dead Cat Food Flex Helmet Placeable Fairy Soul Punchcard Artifact Rift Prism
Phaser's Skip	The Photon Pathway parkour can be skipped by paying 150,000 Motes to Phaser.
Vampire Slayer Quests	Vampire Slayer quests cost between 2,000-10,000 Motes to start.
