Usage

Floating Crystals can be placed on Private Islands to provide various buffs. Some of these place blocks nearby, whereas others provide buffs to Minions.

The radius of the buffs provided can be thought of as a circle. For example, if the radius of the crystal is 16 blocks, going up 16 blocks in any straight direction from the placed crystal will still provide the buffs, but going in a non-straight direction (i.e. diagonally) will not provide the buffs for up to 16 blocks.
