Purpose

Khazad-dûm is a location found deep in the Magma Fields. It is home to the Bal boss, who must be defeated in order to claim the Topaz Crystal.

Both the name of Khazad-dûm and the Bal boss that spawns there are references to The Lord of the Rings.
