Gemstones are a type of item obtainable in the Crystal Hollows. They have a variety of purposes, such as being used to craft, upgrade, and forge items as well as being sellable to the Bazaar or NPCs for profit.

Overview

Gemstones come in 8 different varieties and 5 different tiers. Each type of Gemstone can be used to craft or forge items, or be applied to items with Gemstone Slots to upgrade them with additional stats.

The stat bonuses from Gemstones vary depending on the type of Gemstone used. The amount of stats gained is dependent on the tier of the Gemstone as well as the Rarity of the item it's applied to.

Obtaining

Most Gemstones can be obtained in the Crystal Hollows through a variety of sources, including mining ore, opening chests, killing certain mobs, or straight up crafting or Forging. The one exception to this is the Opal Gemstone, which can only be either mined on the Crimson Isle or obtained as a rare drop from the Inferno Demonlord.

From Crafting

Flawed, Fine, and Flawless Gemstones can be crafted by combining 80 of their previous tiers' Gemstones.
