Crafting is a System in SkyBlock that lets players convert specific combinations of items into new items. It is based on the vanilla Minecraft crafting system, but with several additions, such as a custom menu, Quick Crafting, countless new Recipes, the Recipe Book, and the integration of the Carpentry skill.

Crafting Table

Crafting in SkyBlock is very similar to crafting in vanilla Minecraft, in that you must insert a series of items in a specific order to obtain one or multiple new items. Crafting items generally takes place in the 3x3 Crafting Table, which can be accessed through the SkyBlock Menu, the Crafting Table block, or the the /craft, /craftingtable, or /craftingmenu Commands.

There is also a 2x2 crafting table that can be found in the player's inventory, however, this does not support custom Recipes or Quick Crafting.

Quick Crafting

Quick Crafting is a system that lets player automatically craft items based on the ingredients in their inventory without having to drag them into their proper positions in the menu. It is automatically unlocked at Carpentry Level 3.

There are 3 Quick Crafting slots available. Whenever items leave or enter your inventory, the available items in the slots will update. Items that carry over specific NBT from ingredients, such as the Hyperion, cannot be quick crafted.

Automatic Crafting

The Personal Compactor Accessories let you automatically craft items in your inventory into specified items.

Recipes

A Recipe represent what input items are required to obtain an output item. For example, take an Aspect of the End. You must have 1 Enchanted Diamond and 32 Enchanted Eyes Of Enders in the corresponding positions:

Notes

There is some flexibility to the position requirements. In this example, since you only need items in the column, you can place them on the left or right slots of the menu, so long as they are in the same column.

Some recipes have requirements in order to be used. For instance, the Aspect of the End can only be crafted once you reach Ender Pearl Collection VIII. Most vanilla recipes do not have any requirements, with the exception of some Potions.

Some recipes also upgrade specific ingredients used. For example, if you craft a Hyperion, it will carry over the upgrades on the middle item. This typically goes for many Weapons and Accessories.

Some items also have multiple different recipes. For example, the Hyperion recipe takes in the Necron's Blade (Unrefined) as well as the upgrades to that item. The Enchanted Diamond recipe can be created in a star-like pattern or a semi-shapeless pattern.

Recipe Commands

You can use the /viewrecipe <Item ID> command to view the recipe of the specified item. You can also use the /viewpotion <Potion ID> command to view the recipes for the specified potion.

Recipe Book

The Recipe Book is a system in SkyBlock that lets players track which custom recipes they unlocked. It can be accessed through the SkyBlock Menu, or the /recipebook, /recipemenu, or /viewrecipebook Commands.

There are 10 different categories of recipes, most of which are based on Skills. And as of August 1st, 2023, there are 864 total custom recipes within these categories.
