The Barbarian Faction is one of the two Factions players can join to complete quests and gain Reputation.
Overview
The Barbarian Faction is one of the two Factions on the Crimson Isle and the antithesis of the Mage Faction. Residents of the Barbarian Faction can be found in Dragontail.
Joining
There are multiple ways to join the Barbarian Faction. If you are not part of a Faction already, then you first have to speak to Elle and give them the requested items, then speak to multiple NPCs in Dragontail and Scarleton, and finally speak to Elle again to decide which Faction to join.
If you are already a part of the Mage Faction and have not previously been a part of the Barbarian Faction, then you have to speak to Elle by the spawn of the Crimson Isle.
If you have already been a member of the Barbarian Faction before and are thus currently a member of the Mage Faction, then you can go to the Chief's Hut and rejoin there.
Questline
Each Faction consists of a large questline that involves speaking to various NPCs, collecting items, killing Minibosses and Bosses, and more.
The Barbarian Faction questline starts off with Elle asking the player to kill a Corrupted Spider. This will drop Sulphur, which you then have to feed to Ugo who appears as a Pig. This Pig will morph into Ugo, who is the main NPC during the Barbarian Questline. Once completed, you must head to the Chief's Hut and talk to Chief Scorn, who will officially add you to the Barbarian Faction.
The second task requires you to steal Dean’s research in the Cathedral. This is done by sneaking through the Cathedral and avoiding all of the Guards. Once completed, you will be told to go to Dragontail and meet Ugo.
For the third task, Ugo will ask you to go to the Dojo and complete 3 Dojo Challenges. You are required to score at least a Rank C on these challenges. Once completed, you must head back to Ugo who will be in Dragontail by the Chief's Hut.
For task number four, you must defeat the Mage Outlaw. Afterwards, you must again head back to Ugo to receive your next quest.
In task five, Ugo will ask you to defeat the Magma Boss. Once done you head back to Ugo to receive the next part of the storyline.
The next step involves speaking to Lasea in Dragontail. She will ask you to catch a Flyfish and a Skeleton Fish. You must head to Odger to begin the quest, who will tell you how you can catch both of these Trophy Fish. Once you catch both of them, head back to Lasea and show her the fish. She will then ask you to speak with Gris for the next quest.
The seventh task requires you to enter the Belly of the Beast through The Matriarch and retrieve 1 Heavy Pearl for Gris. Afterwards, he will send you to Chief Scorn who will lead you to the next and final part of the storyline.
The final stage of the quest involves Chief Scorn requesting that you meet Ugo at the Forgotten Skull. The Barbarian Faction and the Mage Faction will be there, who both realize that there's a creature who has been stealing Sulphur, that being Kuudra.
Once this dialogue finishes, you will need to defeat Kuudra in order to finish the quest.
