Hypixel SkyBlock is a unique version of the original SkyBlock game.
Overview
Hypixel SkyBlock is a game where players start on a Private Island with almost nothing and quickly start collecting resources, expanding their island, fighting monsters, creating farms, and much more. As shown below, there are many different aspects of SkyBlock and they each have their own unique form of progression. There is no right or wrong way to play, so have fun!
SkyBlock Menu
The SkyBlock Menu allows players to view their skills, travel to different locations, craft items, add accessories, and more. New players should spend time getting to know it as it will be essential to their progression in the game.
Collections
Throughout SkyBlock, many items have their own Collections. Each collection has its own designated item, each of which has multiple tiers. Some Collections have as little as 4 tiers and some range to 10+ tiers. Each tier has a requirement for total items collected that the player needs to obtain in order to unlock it. Rewards from Collections range from many things such as Skill XP, new recipes, trades, ability to use certain items, and more!

Minions
A Minion is a resource generator that is constantly active on a Private Island regardless of whether or not someone is on the island. To generate resources and Skill XP, Minions interact with the area around them by placing and breaking blocks, or spawning and killing mobs. This area is 5x5, however it can be extended via a Minion Expander.
By default you can only place up to 5 Minions on your Private Island at once, but this limit can be increased by crafting additional Minions. The level of a Minion determines its storage capacity and its speed, both of which can also be modified by Minion Upgrades. Each new island starts with a tier 1 Cobblestone Minion. Players can also interact with their Minions though the Minion GUI, as shown below.

Skills
In SkyBlock, most things fall into one of nine different categories: Farming, Mining, Combat, Foraging, Fishing, Enchanting, Alchemy, and Taming.
These are the main Skills. Most tasks award the player with Skill XP which is required to level up a Skill. Each Skill has anywhere from 25 to 60 different tiers. As the player unlocks more tiers, they are awarded with perks and rewards that can range anywhere from Coins, Stat Bonuses, and even unlocking new Islands!

Stats
Each player has their own Stats. Some of the main Stats are 
Health, 
Defense, and 
Speed but there are much more Stats in addition to those. Certain Stats are only useful in certain scenarios whereas some are useful all throughout the game. Players can increase their Stats in multiple ways, such as by wearing armor, leveling up skills, and reforging items. Players must find the balance of what Stats they want for their playstyle, whether that be for combat in certain areas, farming, or other unmentioned areas. The GUI below shows some of the main Stats.

Locations
SkyBlock is made up of a variety of diverse islands, each with their own Quests and objectives for players to complete. Each one of those islands also has their own locations inside of them. Each location serves its own unique purpose in SkyBlock while also serving as a new area for players to explore.

NPCs
NPCs are spread everywhere throughout SkyBlock. Players can click on most NPCs to interact with them to understand more about a certain area, items, function, etc. Some NPCs can sell items to players while others might task the player with a Quest to complete to earn a reward.

Quests
Each new Location in SkyBlock also comes with new Quests for the player to complete. Quests are tasks for the player to complete in order to progress throughout the game. Quests are a good guideline for the player if they aren't sure what they should do next in a certain area.

Fairy Souls
Fairy Souls can be found throughout most islands. Some may be in secret areas whereas some may be out in the open. Fairy Souls can be collected and then given to Tia the Fairy in exchange for Stat bonuses.

Trades
Trades are used to exchange items or Coins for other items, and can be useful for early game progression. Most Trades can be unlocked by leveling up Collections, while some are unlocked by default. Below is an example of the Trades menu:

Additionally a player can also send Trade Requests to other players, which allows them to directly trade certain items and/or coins between players. For security purposes, players cannot trade while nicked. Please make sure to visit the Security Sloth in the Hub or visit the SkyBlock Security Measures page before trading between players.
Slayer
Slayers are a branch of combat progression which involves killing open-world bosses in exchange for various bonuses. Each Slayer type is fought in different areas of the SkyBlock World. Slayers progressively increase in difficulty and require the player to obtain stronger gear through their collections. A player can start a Slayer quest by talking to Maddox in the basement of the the Tavern which is located in the Hub. Starting Slayer quests cost Coins.

Dungeons
Dungeons are randomly generated instances that can vary in size, which include several unique rooms, monsters, bosses, and various rewards. Dungeons have multiple floors that increase in difficulty as you progress. Each room contains intricate architecture full of danger and secrets.
