True Defense is one of the Combat Stats. It indicates how much Damage reduction a player or enemy has when taking True Damage.

True Damage Reduction

❁ True Damage Reduction is a percent value which represents how much damage a player or enemy will not take when taking True Damage.

The formula for damage reduction can be seen as follows: ${\color {Gray}DamageReduction=\left({\frac {\color {White}{\mbox{❁ }}TrueDamage}{100+\color {White}{\mbox{❁ }}TrueDamage}}\right)}$

For example, if a player has 500 True Defense, the formula will be 500/600, resulting in a 83.3% ❁ True Damage Reduction value.

Increasing Base True Defense

The base True Defense of every player is 0. It can be increased in one way:

Method of Increasing	True Defense Gained	Extra Information
Blaze Slayer	Up to +3 True Defense	Blaze Slayer Level 4 grants +1 True Defense and Blaze Slayer Level 8 grants +2 True Defense.

Increasing Bonus True Defense

The bonus True Defense of a player can be increased in a variety of ways:

• Pets
• Equipment
• Armor
• Weapons
• Reforges
• Gemstone
• Enchantments
• Accessories
• Other

Pets
Pets can increase the bonus True Defense of a player by various amounts and in a variety of ways, weather it be by granting a specific amount of True Defense or a multiplier on top of the player's current True Defense.

Pets that grant True Defense in various ways without including Pet Items include the following:

Silverfish	True Defense Boost - Boosts your True Defense by 15	Crafted at Cobblestone VI Collection
Wisp	+35 True Defense Bulwark - Kill Blazes to gain defense against them. Bonus: +60 True Defense.	Crafted at Blaze Slayer I

Pet Items
Pet Items can also grant increases in True Defense in various ways. Currently however, only the Minos Relic can grant True Defense.

Certain Equipment will grant True Defense when in the player's equipment menu:

Certain Armor pieces can grant additional True Defense from either its base stats, various Upgrades placed on it, one of its abilities, or a full set bonus.
