Category | Player Stats |
Damage is one of the most important aspects of SkyBlock when it comes to anything related to Combat. It can be thought of as either the Damage stat on a given item, or the "final damage" dealt upon attacking a mob, whether that be by hitting it or using an item ability.
Damage Calculation
The primary damage formula is as follows:
The formula for dealing damage with most item abilities is as follows:
If the enemy has Defense, then the following modifier is applied for both formulas. This formula is also used if you take Damage, but for your own Defense, or your True Defense if True Damage is used.
Several notes about the values:
Variable | Damage Type | Information |
---|---|---|
BaseDamage | Regular | This is your weapon's Damage stat (if applicable) combined with any other bonuses, as listed below. |
Strength | Regular | This refers to your Strength stat. Certain bonuses may add on to this depending on the situation, such as your Bestiary kill tier for the mob you are attacking. |
CritDamage | Regular | This refers to your Crit Damage stat, if you end up dealing a critical hit. The chance for this is based on your Crit Chance stat. |
BaseAbilityDamage | Abilities | This value is specific to certain item abilities. A list of them can be found here. |
AbilityScaling | Abilities | Similarly, this value is specific to item ability with a base ability damage value. A list of them can also be found here. |
Intelligence | Abilities | This refers to your Intelligence stat. This is not to be confused with Mana, which is displayed on your action bar. |
AdditiveMultiplier and MultiplicativeMultiplier | Both | AdditiveMultiplier refers to the combined totals of all the "additive" damage multiplier values, and MultiplicativeMultiplier refers to the combined totals of all the "multiplicative" damage multiplier values.
All the additive multiplier types are added together, and all the multiplicative multiplier types are multiplied together. The types used for most multipliers are not specified in game, but a majority of them are additive. Additionally, ones listed with an x (i.e. 1.2x) instead of a percentage (i.e. +20%) are usually multiplicative. For an additive example, if you have Combat Level 5, you'll gain +20% Damage using the additive value. If your sword then has the Sharpness V Enchantment, you also gain +30% Damage using the additive value, which will add up to +50% Damage. For a multiplicative example, if your Tarantula Talisman bonus triggers, you'll gain 1.1x Damage using the multiplicative value. If your Tarantula Armor bonus triggers, you'll also gain 2x Damage, which multiplies to a total of 2.2x Damage. |
BonusModifiers | Both | This refers to very specific bonuses that aren't affected by modifiers, such as Tyzzo's One Punch Perk, the Soul Eater Enchantment, and the End Stone Bow. |
Base Damage Stat Sources
Aside from held Weapons, there are several other sources that directly increase your base Damage stat.
Most of these are not damage multipliers, with the exception of the Crown Of Greed, which adds directly to the base damage value instead of using the multiplier system.

Increasing Damage
There are countless ways to increase your Damage output while playing SkyBlock. Below you can find some general tips to do this.
Increasing Damage Related Stats
Increasing your damage-related stats is one of the most effective ways of increasing your Damage output. These stats include:
- Damage - Represents your base damage dealt.
- Strength - Increases your damage by 1% per amount of Strength.
- Crit Chance - Represents your percent chance to deal a critical hit.
- Crit Damage - Increases your damage by 1% per amount of Crit Damage when dealing a critical hit.
- Ferocity - Indicates the amount of hits that the enemy takes per attack.
- Bonus Attack Speed - Indicates the rate of your attacks.
- Ability Damage - Indicates the increase of damage dealt by the weapon's abilities.
Note that Strength, Crit Chance, Crit Damage all have no impact on most abilities that deal damage, as the amount of damage they do is based on other factors such as Intelligence, Ability Damage, Base Ability Damage and Ability Scaling.
General Tips
Every stat listed above has its own page that includes nearly every method possible to increase it. Nevertheless, here are some quick tips for increasing damage:
- Equip Pets that are designed to increase your damage
- Equip better Armor that gives more damage stats or strong damage multipliers
- Equip stronger Weapons or use stronger Item Abilities
- Obtain stronger Accessories to increase your Magical Power and apply damage Enrichments to high-tier accessories
- Apply upgrades to Armor, Weapons, and Accessories
- Unlock temporary or permanent upgrades, such as Century Cakes or higher Slayer levels
- If you are playing in the Catacombs, increasing your Catacombs level will increase the stats of your items. Increasing Class levels can also increase damage, depending on what class you are playing.
