Overview
Tools are items that consists of Pickaxes, Drills, Axes, Shovels, Hoes, and Fishing Rods that have the purpose of gathering various resources. The player can utilize the Stats, Item Bonus, and any other benefits these Tools might have. You can learn more about each of the Tools by opening their respective article
Pickaxes
Pickaxes are primarily used for mining various ores and other stone-based blocks.

Drills
Drills are primarily used for mining higher quality ores.

Axes are primarily used for foraging various wood types and other wood-based blocks.

Shovels are primarily used for excavating dirt-type blocks.

Upgrades
The Stats and overall capabilities of Tools can be upgraded in various ways. Below is a brief description of all possible Tools upgrades.

Drill Parts are unique to Drills. These upgrades improve the effectiveness of your drill by increasing its Stats, max Fuel capacity, and by adding extra utility, such as passive refueling. |

Enchantments improve the overall effectiveness of your Tools by increasing its Stats and adding extra utility. You can enchant your items directly using an Enchantment Table, or by combining your item with an Enchanted Book in an Anvil.
Regular enchantments appear as blue text, while ultimate enchantments appear as bold pink text on your item, below its Stats.

Reforges directly increase the Stats of your Tools, and sometimes provide additional bonuses.
Basic reforges can be applied to your item at the Blacksmith in the Hub for Coins, while more advanced reforges require a Reforge Stone and Reforge Anvil to apply. You can only apply a single reforge to any given item at a time.
Reforges appear in front of your item's name. If it includes a reforge bonus, that bonus is displayed above the Rarity tag.

The Recombobulator 3000 increases the Rarity of your Tools by one, which allows for other upgrades to grant more Stats.
You can recombobulate your item by combining it with a Recombobulator 3000 in a Reforge Anvil, or by talking to Malik. Items can only be recombobulated a single time.
You can differentiate recombobulated items by the Rarity tag.

Farming For Dummies
Farming For Dummies directly increase the Stats of your Tools by +1 Farming Fortune.
You can apply Farming For Dummies to your item with an Anvil. Only 5 Farming For Dummies books can be applied to any given item.
Farming For Dummies' bonus appears as a dark green (+5) next to your item's Farming Fortune Stat.

Gemstones directly increase the Stats of your Tools, however only items with Gemstone Slots can utilize them. The following stats can be increased by gemstones: Strength,
Health,
Defense,
Intelligence,
Mining Speed,
Mining Fortune, and
Pristine.
You can unlock and apply gemstones to your items at the Gemstone Grinder in the Dwarven Mines.
Gemstone slots can be seen under the stats of your items. The symbol determines the slot type, the symbol's color determines the equipped gemstone for that slot, and the bracket's color determines the rarity of said equipped gemstone.
