Runes are Cosmetic items which can be applied to certain items in SkyBlock.
Obtaining
Runes can be obtained from a wide variety of sources, including Runic Mobs, Slayer bosses, Fire Sales, Fishing, Gifts, and Ender Nodes. The sources for each rune type are listed below.
Runic Mob Chances
When a mob spawns, it has a 0.5% chance to be runic, as indicated by its nametag color and additional 
Health. Having a higher Runecrafting level unlocks more runes.
When a runic mob is killed, it will drop a random type of rune. The table below shows the drop rates for each rune for most runic mobs.
Note that certain mobs have a 30% chance to drop a specific type of rune first before rolling from the standard rune set, as shown in the second table.

The Mobs listed below have a 30% chance to drop the associated rune and a 70% chance to drop one of the runes listed above. This only applies if they are runic.

Usage
Runes can be applied to certain items to grant them cosmetic affects. Higher level runes have a stronger and more concentrated effect, and can be obtained by combining lower level runes of the same type in the Runic Pedestal at Dusk in the Blacksmith.
